As one of Fulfillment Fund’s biggest, most anticipated events of the year, the sixth annual Taste of Summer 2017 attracted over 500 attendees on July 29th at The Victorian, Santa Monica. Presented by the Fulfillment Fund Leadership Council and hosted by Julie Chang and Shira Lazar, the exclusive food and drink tasting event featured some of the most renowned chefs, restaurants, wineries, and beverage makers in Los Angeles.
The Fulfillment Fund was pleased to announce that the summer soiree and its silent auction raised over $65,000, all of which will support its mission to make college a reality for teenagers in economically and educationally under-resourced communities.
In addition to food and drink tastings, guests enjoyed live cooking presentations by Top Chef star and 2015 Eater Chef of the Year Nyesha Arrington, and Eric Greenspan, Chef-Owner at Fleishik’s and The Roof on Wilshire.
Over 20 vendors offered their signature dishes and drinks – from the hearty Southern Fried Chicken with Macaroni from Malibu Café; to Pork Belly Tacos from The Kroft; to exquisite sushi hand rolls from Blue Ribbon Sushi; to Yuzu Old Fashioned and Kikori Bonzai from the 2016 Gold Medal winner of the World Spirits Competition Kikori Whiskey.
