Showcasing Your Inner and Outer Beauty at Tuesdaynights

Last night with Tuesdaynights was inspiring, to say the least. Why? It’s not often you see and get to be a part of such a collaborative and dynamic community of professional women who gather for the same purpose: to support, help, and build lasting and meaningful relationships with each other.

Held at the stylish and modern Trunk Club in Los Angeles, Tuesdaynights featured five workshops that focused on inner and outer beauty:

  1. Maximizing Your Social Media Impact
  2. Unforgettable Personal Branding for the Female Executive
  3. Kick Ass Photo Branding in a Social Media World
  4. Styling Day to Evening
  5. Women’s Wardrobe Essentials

As usual, their interactive workshops and discussions are incredibly motivational and informative. In particular, Diane Prince, who led the workshop on personal branding for the female executive, said she had “an inspiring conversation that led to the importance of not toning down your personal brand to comply with female stereotypes and to fit into the male-dominated world of work.”

At each event, Tuesdaynights features a nonprofit to encourage the community to give back. This time, they invited 5 Gyres, a community that fights ocean plastic pollution through education, science, and activism. Rachel Sarnoff, Executive Director at 5 Gyres, talked about their current expedition through the Canadian Arctic to collect large and small microplastics, in an effort to gain a better understanding of the global distribution of plastic smog that pollutes our seas. Reminding us how easy it is to live with less plastic through tiny actions such as switching to a reusable water bottle or cup, asking for a drink with no straw, or packing a lunch in wax paper, Sarnoff encouraged us to shop plastic free. Check out their Plastic-Free Shopping Guide for ideas!

Justine Lassoff, the co-founder of Tuesdaynights, also co-founded LOVE GOODLY recently, an e-commerce platform for natural, nontoxic, and eco products through curated trial boxes that with each purchase supports a cause. To encourage consumers to detox their lifestyle, they will be holding the Do Good. Be Green. conference, a stylish and cruelty free event on Saturday 11/5 at The Collection, Los Angeles. The event will be the perfect opportunity to discover conscious brands, enjoy eco makeovers, meet influencers, and learn from eco expert speakers. In support of 5 Gyres, LOVE GOODLY is offering the promo code TNGOOD5 so that in addition to you getting $5 off your ticket, they will be donating $5 to 5 Gyres.
